Card Making Night - Card #1

Friday night was our monthly card making night and we were honored with a special guest.  Kirsten Johnston came all the way from Scotland just to make cards with us. Ok, well maybe she didn't come to America just to make cards but it was certainly nice that she chose to include us in her vacation plans.

We made four different cards this month.  Two birthday cards, one Christmas Card (the "Got Scraps" card from a few posts ago) and a Thanksgiving card.  Rather than feature all the cards in one post, I've decided to break it up into three different parts.   Today's featured card is a Bookmark Birthday Card.  The upper right corner of the card is a removable bookmark.

Instructions for bookmark:
  1. Cut a piece of card stock 2" x 4"
  2. Score at 2"
  3. Score on the diagonal from each bottom corner to the top of the center score line.
  4. Fold on the diagonal score lines and secure with a piece of tape.
  5. You should now have a triangular pocket
  6. Cut a square of coordinating cardstock 2.5" x 2.5" and cut in half on the diagonal
  7. Cut a square of coordinating designer paper 2.25" x 2.25" and cut in half on the diagonal
  8. Layer the triangular pieces of card stock and designer paper and attach to the front and back of the bookmark.
