Spooky Fun at the Halloween Kid's Class

There was some spooky fun going on at the Halloween Kid's Class this Sunday. The class maxed out at 10 kids but with the older kids helping the younger ones, everything went incredibly well. Some of my crafty little friends even brought Halloween cookies that they made to share with the class. Not only were they delicious but they were beautifully decorated as well.

We started with the Decor Accents Design-a-House. One thing to note about the Design-a-House is that they are flat packed and require sticky strips to assemble. I attached the sticky strips to the houses before the kids arrived. As soon as the kids got here they spray painted their houses black. Then they decorated them still flat. We used white vellum paper for the windows.  Once the houses were decorated we assembled them and applied black glitter to the roofs and attached flying bats with pieces of plastic coated wire.  All of the houses were gorgeous and as unique as each of the girls.

  1. How did the class work out with all the kids? I'd like to do this with a Christmas House. Cool idea!

  2. The class went really smoothly. I had a wide range of kids 7-13 and the older kids really helped out. A couple of tips: Definitely apply the sticky strips before your class. 3 cans of spray paint covers 10 houses...I bought way to much spray paint. Apply glitter to roof last...If glitter gets on the sticky strips, they won't stick.
