Valentine's Day Treats

My kids always love giving out special Valentine treats to certain "special" friends. and you know that treat has to involve candy. So for a quick and easy Valentine treat just fill one of Stampin' Up!'s small cello bags with M&M's, stamp and punch out a tag, tie it on, and you're done! It's that quick and that easy!

TIP:  Think outside of the box when using your stamp sets. Even though this stamp is from the Birthday Bakery Stamp Set, it is perfect for Valentine's Day.

Got Love?

Got love? I do...for the Stampin' Up! Filled with Love Promotion that's going on right now.  The Filled with Love Promotion features the Filled With Love Stamp Set and exclusive Love Patterns  Designer Series Paper Pack. Plus when you purchase the Filled with Love Bundle, you will get a FREE package of Bitty Buttons.
The Love Patterns Paper Pack comes in the colors of Pretty in Pink and Real Red. Perfect colors for Valentine's Day! Each pack contains 12 sheets (three each of two double-sided designs in Real Red and Pretty in Pink).  This paper pack is only available through this special promotion.  When the promotion ends on January 24, 2011, these colors and designs will only be available in the color collection Designer Series Paper Stacks.  Both the stamp set and the paper pack can be purchased individually, outside of the bundle but you won't receive the FREE Bitty Buttons.

Today's card uses some of the Real Red paper from the Love Patterns Paper Pack and stamps from two different stamp sets...Itty Bitty Bits and Got Treats. As usual I procrastinated on placing my order and I haven't gotten my Filled with Love Stamp Set yet.

A Valentine Your Husband Would Love

I know that Valentines are usually all about the pinks, the reds, the lace and the flowers. And that's great! There are some really gorgeous, lacy, frilly, pink and red valentines out there. I love them! I'd love to get one. But that's because I'm a girl. My husband on the other hand probably wouldn't appreciate the delicate frilliness quite so much.  So today's card is perfect for the man in your life. Clean and Simple in a more masculine color palette of Soft Suede and Baja Breeze. Even the linen thread adds a touch of manliness to the card.

I've been Mojoliciously Unfaithful

Today, I have a confession to make. I've been cheating on my Stampin' Up! supplies. Yes, that's right folks I've been using non Stampin' Up! supplies. I tried to hold out. I tried to be faithful. But when my husband gave me non SU paper and a non SU stamp set for Christmas, what could I do?

Well, now that I've gotten that off my chest...Today's card was inspired by the MOJO Monday Challenge 172. What a great sketch! I love all of the angles.

Since I didn't use SU supplies, I can't give you a supply list. But I will send you to my Etsy Shop where you can purchase this card any many others.

Razzleberry Love

This Valentine's Day card was created in the color of  Rich Razzleberry. If you're not into the traditional pinks and reds, this is a great color to use for your Valentine's Day cards. Below is the sketch that I followed for today's card. I love clean and simple layouts and this one definitely hits the mark.

In fact if you've been following my blog you might actually recognize this layout from a few previous cards.  I created the above layout with My Digital Studio.  My Digital Studio is a great tool for experimenting and visualizing your cards before you actually cut a single piece of paper. You can add and remove elements and move things around until your happy with the design. Then get out your paper and go to work.

Valentine's Day Gift Card Holders

The Christmas gift card holders were so popular that I decided to make some for Valentine's Day. I was originally going to use the "Happy Valentine's Day" greeting from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. But then I thought that if I went with something a little more versatile these could also be used for Birthdays, Thank You or Shower gifts. So I decided to go with the "For You" from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set.
You might recognize the Sending Love Designer Paper from last year's Occasion Mini Catalog. And guess what...It is now available in the Clearance section of the Stampin' Up! website.  But as you know, clearance items are only available while supplies last. So if you want this gorgeous paper at a great price Click Here and order online!

If you'd like to purchase some of these gift card holders you can visit my Etsy shop. If you'd like to make your own you can find the instructions here.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone! Have you made any New Year Resolutions? I have made a few:
  1. I'm going to start eating better. My hubby bought me the 17 Day Diet Book that I saw on Dr. Phil and I'm going to give it a try.
  2. To have more patience with my kids especially the youngest one. She has so much to say and I don't always make the time to listen.
  3. To be more faithful to my blog. I was going to commit to posting everyday. And in a perfect world I would like to. But I decided to be more realistic and resolve to posting 4 times a week. Then, If I manage to post everyday I will get a ton of satisfaction and If I don't, I won't be burdened with guilt.
I made today's card with My Digital Studio. I haven't had too much time to play with it since I got it last month. The holidays and my Etsy shop got most of my attention. But I have worked out a few things that I originally couldn't figure out but knew their must be a better way.  For example, To put in the boxes of designer paper like those above, all you have to do is open a photo box, drag the corners to make it the right size and then drag the designer paper into the photo square. Before I read how to do it (yes reading instructions is always good) I was trying all kinds of things...adding background layers, resizing punches...anyway If you don't have My Digital Studio I definitely recommend getting it.
