Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio - Hybrid Card Class

My Digital Studio - Hybrid Card Class
This is one of the cards we will be making at the My Digital Studio card making class tomorrow. The background of the card was designed and printed in my digital studio and then the gorgeous embellishments were added to give the card a truly handmade appeal.

Digital Card Base
The base of the card was designed using Sun Garden Designer Series Paper which is included in the FREE trial of My Digital Studio. It was then printed onto an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of  Very Vanilla cardstock using the "2 Up" print option. This gives us two cards...just cut the printed cardstock in half at 5 1/2 inches and fold and score it to create the card base.

Embellishing for a Special Handmade Touch
Now for some embellishing!  Embellishing is what gives these hybrid cards that really special handmade touch.  The "hello" greeting is from the Stampin' Up! Four You stamp set and is stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out, and mounted on a scallop oval. Then that was mounted onto the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals. For even more handmade wow, add a bow tied with some seam binding.

...and there you have it. A "digital card" with a handmade appeal!

The Pear Pizzazz seam binding and Poppy Parade ink and cardstock which were used for embellishing have been retired and are no longer available.  I would recommend using the Calypso Coral cardstock, ink and seam binding that are listed below as replacements.
