Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic - Stamping Off

Challenge Time and Blog Update
Today, I played two challenges. The Paper Players Challenge and The Pals Paper Arts Challenge.

I also updated some of the tabs at the top of my blog and added some new categories...be sure to check them out and leave me any suggestions you might have in the comments. :-)

Paper Players Challenge
The Paper Players Challenge this week was a theme challenge: The Great Outdoors. This immediately brought to mind the Stampin' Up! Kinda Eclectic stamp set. Sun, leaves and butterflies...can't get much more outdoorsy than that.

Pals Paper Arts Challenge
The Pals Paper Arts Challenge combined the Stampin' Up! colors: Night of Navy, Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder. Love this color combo!

Technique - Stamping Off
Did you notice that my leaves are various shades of Cucumber Crush? To create lighter shades I used a technique called Stamping Off.

Stamping Off  is super easy. It involves stamping an image more than once without re-inking. Each time you stamp without re-inking your image will get lighter giving you different shades of the same color.
